Mission

The mission of The Development Company is to promote community economic development in the nine-county region we serve. This nine-county area consists of, Bonneville, Butte, Clark, Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison and Teton counties within the State of Idaho.

Economic development is done primarily through the creation and/or retention of jobs by providing long-term fixed asset financing to small business concerns.

The programs that we currently use to acheive economic development are the SBA 504 Loan Program, and Revolving Loan Funds from the Economic Development Administration, USDA Rural Development, and the Idaho Community Development Block Grant programs.

The Development Company is owned by East-Central Idaho Development Company (ECIDC), which is a division of East-Central Idaho Planning & Development Association (ECIPDA) that provides other economic development activities.  For more information on ECIPDA please go to their web site.
